Project Rescue Ocean was founded in 2015 by Benoît Schumann. Its two main missions are the depollution of beaches, ports, rivers in order to raise awareness among the general public and raising awareness Directly in schools among the youngest.

In 2019, 33 tons of litter were collected by the association in France alone (56 tons worldwide) and 2,000 children graduated as ocean rescuers.

25 branches have been created around the world.
