Rugby has always been about more than the game itself. At Gilbert, we believe in using the power of rugby to make a positive difference — supporting communities, protecting the future of the sport, and acting responsibly as a global brand.
From grassroots programmes to charitable partnerships, we’re committed to helping rugby thrive at every level, while doing the right thing for people and the planet. Supporting teams with Gilbert Rugby Teamwear and Gilbert Rugby Balls, everything from training equipment to body armour.

RUGBY DEVELOPMENT
Through long-term partnerships with global organisations, Gilbert helps introduce rugby to new players, strengthen grassroots communities, and extend the life of the game far beyond the elite level by supporting programmes that remove barriers to participation, aiming to make rugby more accessible, inclusive, and sustainable worldwide.
A founding member and in partnership with World Rugby’s Get Into Rugby programme, this supports initiatives designed to introduce rugby to new audiences in a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable way.
By working alongside Get Into Rugby, Gilbert Rugby help ensure more people around the world can experience the benefits of rugby — both on and off the pitch.
Access to equipment should never be a barrier to playing rugby. That’s why we proudly support SOS Kit Aid, a charity dedicated to collecting and redistributing surplus sports kit to communities in need around the world.
Through this partnership, we help reduce waste by extending the life of rugby equipment, provide kit to schools, clubs, and communities with limited resources and support participation in regions where access to equipment is a challenge.
By keeping rugby kit in play for longer, SOS Kit Aid helps both people and the planet — ensuring the game can be enjoyed by more players, in more places.
SOCIAL IMPACT: ChildFund
We’re proud to support ChildFund Rugby, a global social impact partner of World Rugby that uses the power of rugby to create positive, lasting change for children and young people around the world. Rather than just talking about impact, ChildFund Rugby connects sport with learning, leadership and life skills — especially for young people in vulnerable communities.
ChildFund Rugby works to Empower children and youth to play, learn and lead through rugby and life skills programmes. Build resilience, confidence and leadership for young people facing challenges in their communities and Champion gender equity and inclusion.
RESPONSIBLE MANUFCTURING & SUSTAINABILITY
As a global sports brand, we recognise our responsibility to minimise our environmental impact and operate ethically across our supply chain. Gilbert is committed to improving sustainability in materials and production, working with responsible manufacturing partners and reducing waste and improving product longevity.
As part of our commitment to reducing environmental impact, our Envyro and Solar ranges focus on repurposing recycled materials into high-performance sportswear. Envyro fabrics are made using recycled plastic bottles, giving single-use waste a second life while reducing water and energy consumption during production. Alongside this, our Solar collection is manufactured using recycled polyester in facilities that prioritise renewable energy, responsible waste management and sustainable packaging. Together, these initiatives reflect our ongoing efforts to make more responsible choices across our product ranges and supply chain, as we continue to play our part in working towards a more sustainable future.
We are committed to reducing packaging waste across our supply chain. All Envyro and Solar garments are packed using recycled or biodegradable materials, including recycled polybags and swing tags. In addition, we continue to implement collective bagging practices both at source and within our warehouse operations to minimise single-use packaging and reduce overall material consumption. These measures form part of our broader effort to lower environmental impact while maintaining product protection and quality.
