Argentinian rugby continues to grow as we approach Rugby World Cup 2015, and Gilbert Rugby are proud to say we are there every step of the way.
The Argentinian Rugby Union (UAR) signed an extension to their existing deal with Gilbert in 2011, fresh from being accepted into the then Tri-Nations tournaments between Australia, South Africa and New Zealand (not the Rugby Championship).
Since then there has been a Rugby World Cup quarter-final, two years in the Rugby Championship – including a maiden victory over Australia, and a famous triumph in Paris against France last autumn.
Last weekend Argentina Jaguars played host to USA Selects in Salta, running out 28-23 winners in preparation for RWC 2015. Meanwhile, the Argentina 7s team will be taking part in the Glasgow 7s this weekend as the competition reaches its penultimate destination.
We’ll follow the Puma’s progress all the way to September when their RWC campaign begins with a huge match against New Zealand at Wembley Stadium, London.
